For a fast-growing international company, we are looking for a Customer Service- /Transport Specialist. The company is located in Venlo and is one of the world's leading companies in medical devices.
Overseeing and coordinating the customer service activities to meet goals, quality and Customer needs- objectives while setting and/or prioritizing tactical issues, and evaluations based on Customer demands/trends/needs
Provides first-class customer service towards customers
Interaction with European customer care in regards to mode of transport and order handling
Support and execute the logistics in accordance with customer SLA
Contact with carriers/drivers regarding shipments on a daily base
Order management and transport bookings for outgoing shipments
Follow up on inbound shipments
Emergency shipment handling
Follow up on Transportation related customer comments
Reporting towards customers and other stakeholders
Communication; Contact person for customer service departments regarding outstanding sales orders, pending shipments and any other relevant inquiries
Application of business rules
Preparation of relevant documentation
Interact with Supply Chain for inventory availability
Interact with responsible functions to ensure right allocation decisions are taken
Support tactical issues with forwarders, customer service, and customers
Reporting towards Customer Service, Purchasing, Plants, LRD’s and selling divisions
Will manage equipment and workload/capacity to meet the Customer's needs
Uses independent judgment to ensure the right allocation decisions are taken
Intermediate/Bachelor education (preferably in Logistics)
Proven experience in an international logistics or customer service environment
Basic knowledge of International trade
Experience in Distribution processes
Oracle/SAP or similar ERP system / MS Office
Service minded, Hands-on, Proactive and good Communications skills
A drive for continuous improvements is a must
