For an American, Fortune 500-company, one of the leading Medical Devices Companies in the world, we are looking for a Senior Inventory controller, located in Venlo.

In this challenging position you serve as the main contact person for the local inventory related topics. With your team of 6 persons you give guidance to define the optimal level of existing inventory and related optimization and advice senior management of the CDC in Venlo.

Under your leadership you implement a world class inventory management strategy to improve customer satisfaction, reduce cost and optimize inventory.

Key Activities & Accountabilities

  • Lead discussion and present recommendations for inventory optimization to the local and European leadership teams
  • Ownership of the write-offs and disposal, including the management of expiry dates in and product replacements
  • Focus on making local procedural changes and new or more effective ways to accomplish tasks and achieving goals standardized across Europe
  • Take ownership or participate in projects to further improve European inventory management capabilities resulting in increasing customer satisfaction, increasing efficiency, lower costs and optimized inventory levels
  • Participate in discussions with Supply Chain to ensure inventory are available when required needed by customers
  • Build, liaise and maintain relationships and collaborates with colleagues across functions (Operations, Finance, etc.), divisions (Sales, Marketing)
  • Collaborate and participate to the forecasting process with marketing, Supply Chain and local Leadership team
  • Provide direct input, advice and guidance to the Supply chain team in relation to the best options for source from and aging products

Wat are we looking for on your resume?

  • Degree Finance & Logistics (or Supply Chain or Business & Economics) or equivalent experience
  • Broads experience (> 3 years) in an Inventory Management related role
  • Experience in an international logistics comnpany (Medical Device is a plus)
  • Demonstrated success in people management, KPI & process improvement, teamwork and change management
  • Expertise in data analytics, ERP knowledge and project management
  • Good in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and other relevant software programs
  • Fluency in English
  • Project Management and/or Finance qualifications are an advantage

  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills

  • Strong internal drive and motivation to make a difference and add value to an organization
