We are looking for a SeniorTeam Leader for a brand new Distribution Center Operation (April) in Venlo.
The Senior Team Leader is operational responsible for the entire process from receiving, sorting, put-away, replenishment, order picking and loading their products for final delivery to their end clients. You report directly to the Director Operations Europe.
Job profile:
As a Senior Team Leader you will be fully responsible for both the correct receipt of goods at the Distribution Center in Venlo, putting the goods on location, replenishment from the bulk location to the pick location, order picking and preparing the shipments for shipping and finally loading the shipments to be distributed into Europe to their final end clients. In the end, you will be leadng and overseeing a group of ± 5 - 15 people, depending on their growth and will be supported by an assistant team leader.
Your position will consist of the following duties and responsibilities:
Main area 1: You are responsible for inbound of goods which includes activities such as:
You ensure correct receipt of goods.
Control of the shipments and reporting of over and under orders
Managing the team responsible for goods receiving
Reporting discrepancies to the logistics office if goods/orders are not delivered as planned
Main area 2: You are responsible for outgoing goods flow which includes activities such as.
You ensure that all goods are picked, packed and ready for shipment according to the planning.
You ensure correct loading of all goods.
Control of the shipments and reporting of over- and under orders
Managing the team responsible for order picking and loading.
Reporting discrepancies to the logistics office if goods/orders are not delivered as planned
Other responsibilities:
You are responsible for planning the right staffing in consultation with our employment agency and register this request in the planning system of employment agency
You are responsible for achieving predetermined productivity
You are responsible for ensuring, promoting and implementing the HR and safety policy within the department
Any other activities which can be expected in the role of a Teamleader of the Distribution Center
Function requirements
5 - 8 years of experience in a management position in a warehouse / DC;
MBO diploma (possibly supplemented with certificates);
A "can do" mentality;
Willing to be part of their BHV team;
Language Dutch: Good written and oral communication skills required;
Language English: Good written and oral expression skills required;
Language German: Speaking and understanding is an advantage;
Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG not older than one year) is required;
Certificate to drive a counter balance truck and reach truck.
