Warehouse Supervisor (Fulltime) with leadership skills or ambitions.
In your role as warehouse supervisor, under the direction of the Business Unit manager, you are responsible for the optimal functioning of the operation. You manage and monitor the daily workload in your area of responsibility, ensuring the highest quality of work and maximizing the productivity of your team (35 members). You are both hands-on and able the coordinate the work, you are the link between your manager and the warehouse team (5 members). In this position you are working in dayshift
Leadership, development, induction, training and assessment of subordinates;
Implementation of personnel capacity planning for your subordinates ensuring high productivity;
Control of goods issues in terms of priority and efficiency in cooperation with the internal departments;
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods;
Implementation and ensuring the execution of our internal quality controls as well as compliance with the requirements for handling of dangerous goods by all modes of transport;
Meets warehouse operational standards by providing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements;
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices;
Responsible for achieving the agreed KPIs (quality, productivity, on time performances);
Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees;
Communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures;
Ensure shipments and inventory transactions’ accuracy;
Interface with internal customers to answer questions or solve problems;
Implement project action plans;
Support the change management for warehouse operations.
Good/extensive knowledge in a logistics environment;
Knowledge of SAP and Manhattan.;
5 years’ experience in a similar role;
Experience as project member;
Excellent knowledge of the Dutch or English language;
Ability to train, coach and lead your team on daily operations- and in changing environments (+/- 30 to 50 employees);
Reliability and flexibility as well as high workload capacity;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Great interpersonal and communication skills;
Availability to work shift.
